Museum of Cape Fear

This is a nice small museum that highlights a significant part of Fayetteville’s history. Guests can look around as they learn different things about the way of life back in the day and since it is not particularly big, a tour shouldn’t take you longer than an hour. They even have one wing that is specifically dedicated to African-American’s post-civil war history. Very educative and eye-opening. Airborne and Special Operations Museum

Opened in August 2000, this museum has two galleries. The main one that highlights the history of airborne and special operations soldiers from 1940 to the present in chronological order and then a temporary one that changes from time to time displaying a myriad of exhibits pertaining to the United States Army airborne and special operations units. They also have a four-story tall theater, a gift shop, and a motion simulator ride that features two experiences.
